Checkout.com, a leading global payment solutions provider, held its flagship merchant event, Thrive Hong Kong 2026, in Hong Kong from March 26 to 28. This three-day, invitation-only gathering brought together global leaders and innovators from retail, e-commerce, finance, technology, and other industries to explore future trends in payments and engage in in-depth discussions on frontier topics such as artificial intelligence and digital transformation.
Ben Cheng, Chief Executive Officer of C Capital, was invited to participate in one of the event’s panel discussions. During the session, Ben Cheng shared C Capital’s forward-looking insights and investment logic on the topic of the application of artificial intelligence in business and investment.

In his remarks, Ben Cheng explained the importance C Capital places on artificial intelligence when evaluating investment opportunities. He pointed out that the application of AI has become a key indicator in assessing a company’s core competitiveness, and that this standard applies not only to technology companies, but also runs through all potential investment targets. “For the non-technology companies we invest in, we also make it a clear requirement that they proactively embrace artificial intelligence and deeply integrate the technology into their business operations,” Ben Cheng said. “What we care about most is whether, after adopting AI, a company can achieve a meaningful improvement in profit margins or operational efficiency. Therefore, we are more inclined toward founders and businesses that actively adopt AI technology and demonstrate clear efficiency gains.”
